　　In the lecture, the professor mainly talks about 2 kinds of interviews to gather information for news. The first one is unstructured interview, which is aimed to get general information. For example, when a journalist wants to receive a whole picture about citizens’ opinions on the development of a city, he should offer the topic without asking specific areas or domains. In this way people can give as many ideas as possible. The 2nd one is structured interview, which can obtain specific information on an issue. Here the professor still uses the journalist as an example to explain that. If he needs to collect citizens’ insights on the development of certain domains, he should involve a direction in his questions, like asking a citizen to answer a question out of three in that direction.
