　　Against the backdrop of the fast economic growth, there is a phenomenon becoming more and more popular: people owning a great deal of money are supposed to give away their money to charities. If they don’t do so, countless criticism will be made on them until they really do it. In fact, as for me, this kind of action is totally unnecessary and inhuman. I will demonstrate it with the following reasons.

　　In the first place, rich people earn their money by themselves during a long process which may cost their time, energy and every effort, but finally they have to give out a lot of money to the poor just because everyone thinks that they should do. I think it is unfair. How could you think the poor can easily get what the rich have spent their everything to make just because the poor are really poor? No one has the obligation to do something for others, it is just his choice or his right, it can’t be forced. Therefore, if the rich people contribute their money voluntarily to charities, that is kind of fine and generous of course, but if they don’t want to do it, they are not doom to be criticized by others. There is nothing wrong with them, just their choice.

　　Secondly, the more wealth people have, more tax they will pay in the meantime, which means government could use the tax to help those people in need, not just pushes the rich to donate more extra money. I know, some people may argue that if the rich don’t give away any money, they are too merciless or have got no kindness, they should be criticized. However, the truth is that they have paid much more tax than other average people, and have devoted more money to the governing programs, which may also help the poor in some extent. How can you say that they are inhuman and do nothing to the charities?

　　Last but not least, giving money can’t solve the root problems about the poverty, teaching the poor how to be rich is the most crucial thing. Just make a hypothesis, if the rich keep on donating money to the poor day by day, year by year, you may find that the rich are still rich, and the poor are still very poor after a long time, it seems that there is no improvement during the process, is the devotion of the rich useless finally?

　　It’s just because the fundamental problem of the poor hasn’t been solved. Hence, in t he long run, making the rich contribute their money constantly can’t work out the pro blem thoroughly, teaching the poor how to earn money by themselves is the most effective way to stay rich permanently.
