　　Most university freshmen will have to go through a period of difficult time during their first days in college, because they are not fully prepared for the new life in the new environment. Therefore, people suggest that it would be better for them to do some work, such as part-time job, before attending college, which, in my opinion, is actually a perfect idea, for it will definitely help the students better prepared for their university life.

　　First, part-time job is a good opportunity for students to obtain precious experience. For one thing, when they are working, they will have to get along with more people in a more complicated environment. Before they graduate from high school, they have always been living a relatively simple world with only parents, classmates and teachers; they don’t need to know how to understand the art of interpersonal relationship. However, a job requires more sophisticated ability of communication, which is also needed in the university, a place to some extent nearly the same complicated as society. For another, some work experience before college makes students comprehend things that they can do and a lot more that they cannot; therefore, their future study could be guided with a clearer target. And when they graduate from the university with more confidence to hunt jobs four years later, they will be grateful for the time they spend doing the preparation in advance.

　　Meanwhile, the working experience before university can bring extra benefits in life. As we know, most students today are totally ignorant about how to live their life independently, because parents take care of even the most trivial things for them all the years. Once they begin to work, they might need to deal with things they have never done before, which, however, are things they really need to start doing as soon as possible. This will help them to behave like adults. Besides, even the simplest work can offer them a salary, and for the students from not wealthy families, the salary can well share the economic burden of parents to some extent. Some students can even support their study and life over the four years by keeping doing part time jobs.

　　Admittedly, over engaging in part time jobs might distract students from their study. However, the ability of time management is also an important thing they will need to learn for the future university life, and the benefits they will get from doing so cannot be ignored.

　　All in all, doing some work before entering college is indeed something worth trying for all college candidates.
