  环球教育小编为大家总结托福独立写作:老师分科教学话题(2017年7月15日托福考试真题),希望能帮助大家更好的备考托福。

  话题分类:老师分科教学话题

  考题回忆:

Students aged 13-18 are taught different subjects by different teachers while younger students are taught by only one teacher all day long. Some people suggest it would benefit young students to be taught by different teachers. Do you agree with this view? Why or why not?

Nowadays in most secondary schools, students have lessons from different teachers, while in elementary ones, younger pupils only have one teacher. Some educators hold the view that it would be more beneficial for young students to be taught by different teachers. I agree with this view, because in this way, we can provide the students with more diverse and better quality education, and also help them learn to work more independently.

First and foremost, having different teachers means that we can make sure each teacher specializes in certain subjects, so that they can focus on the subjects they teach and spend more time perfecting their teachingapproaches. This is especially important in secondary schools where students have more specialized courses on an assortment of disciplines. Few teachers are competent enough to lecture on many different subjects. Besides, with different teachers who have different ways of teaching , students can enjoy their education with more variety, and those teachers can also work together to design a better curriculum, because they can discuss feedback from students and point out where they need to improve during faculty meetings.

Secondly, it is also socially advantageous. As we know teachers play an important role in students’ early social life. They not only serve as teachers, but also students’ friends and counsellors. For example, when some students are bullied, they tend to turn to teachers for help. Therefore, it would be too much responsibility for one teacher. And it is also risky because if the only teacher is not competent, students will be subject to inadequate education. Plus, students will also be able to know more about the diversity of society when they are exposed to teachers with various personalities and outlooks on life, which will help them cultivate an objective perspective.

Last but not least, we should have more than one teacher to teach a class for the reason that it can help students grow more independence. If there is only one teacher for a class, the students in the class will spend almost all their school days with the teacher, in and out of classes, and they will become so acquainted with the teacher that they rely on him about everything. This is not good for the students’ development. Instead, by assigning different teachers to one class, we can limit the time each teacher has with the students and distinguish their role from parents’.

To sum up, I believe it is better to have different teachers for the sake of the quality of education and students’ development.
