　　Humanity's entire life support system depends on the well-being of our earth. The environment is an important issue even when society is faced with economic crises, wars, and unending social problems. It matters because Earth is the only home that humans have. Protecting the environment was never and will never be the mere responsibility of governments. As an individual, we can help in many aspects. rearding the three methods mentioned in the topic, I believe the first one is more practical and effective.

　　Among a series of environmental problems, air pollution is the most pressing one. The effects of Air pollution are alarming. They are known to create several respiratory and heart conditions along with Cancer, among other threats to the body. Several millions are known to have died due to direct or indirect effects of Air pollution. Children in areas exposed to air pollutants are said to commonly suffer from pneumonia and asthma. One major cause of air pollution is burning of fossil fuels. Pollution emitting from vehicles including trucks, jeeps, cars, trains, airplanes cause immense amount of pollution. We rely on them to fulfill our daily basic needs of transportation. Therefore, if people switch to greener commuting methods, such as walking or riding a bicycle. The issue concerning air pollution will be greatly alleviated.

　　Besides, considering the recent popularization of shared bikes such Mobike and Offo bike, it is not difficult at all for individuals to do so. The principle is simple: bikes are fitted with GPS trackers which allows them to be picked up from and left anywhere using an app. I am personally a frequent mobike user. It is easy for me to locate a bike when I am in need. The only thing I need to do is download an App on my phone and scan the QR code prior using the bike. It is convenient, cheap and quite safe as well.

　　Undeniably, recycling or consuming organic food can be helpful to protect the environment. However, for me, the government can enforce the law to regulate recycling and provide some financial support to encourage people buying more organic food (organic food is not cheap). For individuals, we should start from small deeds and keeping doing everything we can to protect our planet.
